Language Arts

Word Wall Words: one, that, go, thing, her

Sounds:  ing, ung, ong, ang

We will work on identifying the beginning, middle, and end of a story.  We will read City Book.  In this story a boy travels to the city to see many sights.  We will practicing noting details as we read it.
 

Math

Skills covered:

  • Frames and Arrows

  • +/- on a Number Grid

  • Telling Time to the Half Hour

Check to make sure your child can identify the hour hand and minute hand on a clock.  Many students confuse these two hands.

Unit 

We are continuing our November social studies unit.  Students will learn how the Native Americans helped the first Pilgrims.  We will also discuss what traditions are and students will tell about traditions their family has.
