Hoffman outlined the success of using the "Time to Teach" discipline program for the second year at the middle school and the positive effects other middle school initiatives have had on the climate at the middle school: parenting classes, Pledge of Respect, character education, anti-harassment program, peer mediation, conflict resolution, and AODA services.

Goals Update
Goals statements were added to more fully explain the target of each goal area listed.

A Policy Committee meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 8, at 7:00 p.m. at the Central Office.

Benson noted that some individual community members have asked about the availability for students to purchase milk from vending machines. In addition to milk being offered at breakfast and lunch, our high school currently offers milk in one of the vending machines and milk is also offered in bottles as an ala carte item at lunch time. A more comprehensive food service report will be included at a future Board meeting.

The revisions include language pertaining to the documents parents will be required to review and sign in order to participate in the new K12-Planet software program that allows parents to view student records from their home computers via Internet access.
