Anderson opened the meeting. He noted that the meeting had been properly noticed and notice had been provided to the appropriate media and each School Board Member. Roske moved to proceed with the legal meeting. Caraway seconded. Motion carried.
Consideration & Action to Adjourn to Closed Session Pursuant to Wisconsin
19.85(1)(c) for Discussion of Administrator Contracts, Evaluations, and Job Descriptions;
and 19.85 and 111.70 for 2003-2005 RVEST Collective Bargaining Update and 2003-05 RVEA
Caraway moved to adjourn to closed session at 7:34 p.m. pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes 19.85(1)(c) for Discussion of Administrator Contracts, Evaluations, and Job Descriptions; and 19.85 and 111.70 for 2003-2005 RVEST Collective Bargaining Update and 2003-05 RVEA Collective Bargaining. Taylor seconded. Polled vote was 8-0 in the affirmative with 1 absent. Motion carried.
The Board reconvened in open session at 9:47 p.m.
Consideration & Action on 2003-04 Administrator Contracts
Limmex moved to approve 2003-04 contracts for administrators as follows: change from the WEA Insurance Idemnity Plan to the WEA Insurance Point of Service Plan; approve a 3.3% salary and benefits package; and approve additional salary increases above the 3.3% package for 5 of the 7 administrators for additional duties since the number of administrators was reduced from 8 to 7 under an administrative realignment, so 2003-04 salaries are $92,851 for Benson, $71,951 for Mahoney, $74,506 for Kaukl, $70,825 for Hoffman, $61,384 for Richardson, $61,384 for Briehl, and $58,172 for Palm-Leis. Roske seconded. Motion carried with Pronold opposing.
Consideration & Action on Comprehensive Media and Technology Plan
Mahoney presented an updated district Technology Plan which, when approved by the DPI, will allow us to receive E-rate funding and common school aid funding and allow us to seek competitive grants from the state. Limmex moved to approve the River Valley School District Information and Technology Plan 2003-06. Caraway seconded. Motion carried.
Limmex moved to adjourn at 9:57 p.m. Taylor seconded. Motion carried.
