President Anderson opened the meeting. He noted that the meeting had been properly noticed and provided to the appropriate media and each School Board Member. Pitts moved to proceed with the legal meeting. Peach seconded. Motion carried.

Receipt of Land’s End Grant
Benson noted that we received a $18,950 grant to purchase a computer lab for Sue Quale’s middle school art program. The district will match this amount through the technology budget.

Consideration & Action on Appointment of Board Training Advocacy Position and Board Convention Delegate
Anderson nominated Nelson as the Board Training Advocacy representative. Caraway seconded. Motion carried.

Pronold nominated Pitts as the Board Convention Delegate. Peach seconded. Motion carried.

Consideration & Action on Teacher Partial Leave of Absence
No action was taken.

Consideration & Action on Teacher Hiring
Peach moved to hire Katrina Lemens as the Middle School Chorus Teacher. Pitts seconded. Motion carried.

Consideration & Action to Adjourn to Closed Session Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes 19.85 and 111.70 to discuss Article 28, Early Retirement Policy For Teachers, and the sidebar language pertaining to early retirement in the 1999-01 negotiated agreement; and 19.85(1)(c) to discuss administrator contracts
Peach moved to adjourn to closed session at 8:30 p.m. pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes 19.85 and 111.70 to discuss Article 28, Early Retirement Policy For Teachers, and the sidebar language pertaining to early retirement in the 1999-01 negotiated agreement; and 19.85(1)(c) to discuss administrator contracts. Roske seconded. Polled vote was 8-0 in the affirmative with 1 absent. Motion carried.
