Yearbook
Sixth, seventh and eighth grade students may join the middle school yearbook staff. Yearbook staff members are responsible for:
attending the meetings (if involved in a sport, students may come to the meeting for half of the time and the sport's practice for half of the time--prior approval by coach is needed). If not able to attend the meeting, students may come in during study halls to finish tasks.
taking pictures throughout the year using the digital cameras.
scanning pictures.
designing yearbook pages using Microsoft Publisher '98.
participating in yearbook fundraisers at school such as cookie sales or ice cream sales.
selling the yearbooks.
participating and helping with yearbook theme days.
Yearbook meetings are held after school from
3:15 - 4:00 p.m. Students are responsible for arranging transportation home.
Meeting dates are:
-Wednesday, September 12 and 26
-Wednesday, October 3 and 10
-Wednesday, November 14 and Tuesday, November 20
-Wednesday, December 5 and 12
-Wednesday, January 9 and 23
-Wednesday, February 13 and 27
-Wednesday, March 12 and 26
-Wednesday, April 2, 9, 23, and 30
-Wednesday, May 7
This year's theme is: The Roaring Twenties
During the months of September and October, yearbooks will be sold. A Spring Sale will also be held March 10-20. They are $8.00. Students will be able to order yearbooks during Climb It. When the yearbooks are ordered, money has to be collected by your child's Climb It teacher. Your child will receive a receipt and magnet the next day. Yearbooks will be distributed the last week of school in June.
