Find Out Why
Spring Green
Is A Great Place to Live!

a Web Quest

Introduction:

The Area Chamber of Commerce has hired you to design an attractive 3-panel brochure to show people and businesses that the Spring Green area is one of the best places to live!  Since you come highly recommended due to your knowledge of desktop publishing, they are planning on having you present your brochure at a special meeting to show how special Spring Green really is!

Task:

You have been hired to create a 3-panel brochure for Spring Green's Area Chamber of Commerce.  You will be doing research on Spring Green's businesses, parks, historic sites, sports and recreational activities, tourist attractions, shopping, and any other relevant information to convince people that Spring Green is a great place to live!   You will also have to interview 1-2 people that have lived in Spring Green for at least 15 years.   A quote from that interview(s) must be included in your brochure.

Once you have successfully completed your brochure, you will meet with the area business people and residents of Spring Green to show them what a special place Spring Green really is!

Process:

Follow these steps to complete your project:

1.  Research Spring Green's businesses, parks, historic sites, sports and recreational activities, tourist attractions, shopping, and any other relevant information.

2.  Find pictures that would help to create interest in Spring Green.   Remember that you need to cite your sources.  You may also take pictures with the digital camera or bring in pictures to scan.

3.  Interview 1-2 people that have lived in Spring Green for at least 15 years.   Choose a quote or two for the brochure.  Select one that really shows why Spring Green is just a great place to live!

4.  Create your 3-panel brochure in Publisher.

5.  Meet with the residents and business people of Spring Green to convince them why your brochure should be selected to represent Spring Green.
