AR Points
There are 4 possible ways to earn AR Points.
SITUATION #1
After a student reads an AR book, they take the quiz. If they pass the quiz, they will get the points accordingly.
SITUATION #2
After a student reads an AR book, they take the quiz. If they pass the quiz, they will get the points accordingly. If they really liked the book and want to do a project on the book, they may. At most, the project will be worth 5 points. All projects must be presented to the class on a scheduled day. Scheduled days occur twice a quarter: mid quarter and the end of the quarter.
SITUATION #3
After a student reads an AR book, they take the quiz. If they DO NOT pass the quiz, they have the option of doing a project. Students will not get points for the quiz, but they will get points for the project. At most, the project will be worth 5 points. All projects must be presented to the class on a scheduled day. Scheduled days occur twice a quarter: mid quarter and the end of the quarter.
SITUATION #4
A student may read a book that is not AR and still get points. The book must be pre-approved by me. The student and I will negotiate points the book is worth. Since there are no quizzes for books that are not AR, students MUST do a project. Again, at most, the project will be worth 5 points. All projects must be presented to the class on a scheduled day. Scheduled days occur twice a quarter: mid quarter and the end of the quarter.
