The Board encourages the participation of its members at appropriate school board conferences, conventions, seminars and workshops. The Board shall pay any attendance fee and shall reimburse attending Board members for actual and necessary expenses in accordance with established procedures. Board member attendance at conferences, conventions, seminars and workshops must be authorized in advance by the Board and in line with current budgetary limitations. The Board will establish and provide a rotating schedule for one or more of its members to attend the annual national School Board convention.
