Policy #345.31 – Exhibit - Promotion from Grade 4 to 5 and Grade 8 to 9 Flowchar

Student meets two of three criteria

1.  Score of “basic” or higher on four of six sections of WKCE                                    
                                                                       
2.  Receives a passing final grade in all subject areas or 2.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale in all classes (accumulative for entire school year) 

3.  Committee Recommendation

a.  4^th:   Committee will be appointed by building  principal and must include the principal and classroom teacher

b.  8^th:    Committee will be appointed by building principal and must include the principal and at least one teacher from both the 7^th and 8^th grade

If met, promoted.  If not met, retained.
