Students at the elementary level may be assigned to any of the elective attendance centers regardless of the home address of the student.
An analysis will be made of the size of classes at appropriate grade levels in each building at the beginning of the school year. If there is an overload at the attendance center a student would normally attend, then the student will be assigned to another attendance center. Under this arrangement, the student will be required to walk (city students) or be bused (rural students) to the attendance center he/she might normally attend and then be bused (at school district expense) to that attendance center which he/she has been assigned.
If a family has more than one student enrolling at the elementary level, a request may be made for all the elementary students in the family to be assigned to the same school building. This will be done whenever class sizes permit.
