Each graduating class of the River Valley School District will request of the Board of Education, at or before graduation, their recommendation for disposition of their class fund. The class may choose from the following alternatives:
1. Purchase a gift for the school/district;
2. Establish a scholarship fund.
3. Classes may withdraw a maximum of $300 for use as start-up costs for their first class reunion. This must be approved by a majority vote of the class. If approved, this money will be controlled by the president and treasurer (or two other designated officers) and placed in a local bank account. The money will be controlled by the designated officers and to withdraw money, the designed officers must both sign for withdrawal of funds.
(Please note that once this money is withdrawn from the school district activity account, it becomes the property of the class and River Valley School District will no longer be responsible for the management of this money.)
No funds will be dispersed for these purposes until all expenses of the class have been received and paid.
Should the graduating class fail to make request to the Board of Education at graduation, the fund balance will revert back to the Building Activity Fund.
