The Board may accept and use any bequest or gift of money or property for a purpose deemed by the Board to be consistent with district goals. Equipment and materials purchased for or donated to the public school by agencies or organizations outside of the school must have approval of the Board.
All gifts or bequests shall become the sole property of the district to be used at the discretion of the Board, unless otherwise specified in the bequest.
The River Valley School District shall not discriminate in the acceptance and administration of gifts, bequests, scholarships and other aids, benefits or services to students from private agencies, organizations or persons on the basis of sex, race, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation or physical, mental, emotional or learning disability. Discrimination complaints shall be processed in accordance with established procedures.
