Overall Objectives:
        Basic understanding of movement terminology.  How we balance and put our bodies into
motion.  Students are taught key skill elements involved in producing each tumbling stunt.
       
Key Terms:

  
     Balance, momentum, center of gravity.

        Students are taught key skill elements involved in learning proper spotting procedure and techniques for keeping their mat partner safe.

        Grades 3,4,5-  will also be treated to a tumbling/apparatus skills,clinic conducted by girls from River Valley's gymnastics team


        Plain resident Cindy Vanderwater recently showed her knowledge and background in tumbling and gymnastics with 4th and 5th graders in Mr. coyles physical education classes at Plain Elementary.   Cindy is a former college gymnast and gymnast judge who taught students elementary balance and movement activities and spoke about routine scoring in the sport of gymnastics.
