7th Grade Business Skills

Classroom Objectives:

Students will:

  • acquire intermediate word processing skills while practicing previously learned keyboarding skills.
  • continue to build keyboarding speed and accuracy.
  • learn how to manage a checkbook as well as learn the basics of credit.
  • continue to utilize spreadsheet software.
  • create documents using desktop publishing software.
  • gain an awareness of advertising and how ti affects individuals in today's society.
  • create a short video.
  • continue to learn about Internet safety.
  • demonstrate use of the scanner, digital camera, and Smart Board equipment/software.

Classroom Expectations:

I will work to meet classroom objectives. I will be respectful to my classmates, teacher, assistants, and school property. I have read and agree to do my best to meet these classroom objectives and expectations.

 Speed/Accuracy Percentages:

Students will take three two-minute timings at least six times during the twelve week class.  Students are allowed three errors before reduction from speed.  Below is the scoring rubric. 

A 29+
B 25-28
C 21-24
D 17-20
F Below 17
