2 Bathroom/Hall Passes per quarter. Use them WISELYJ .

• Your grade will be based on four categories. Tests will be will be 45% of your grade. Homework will be 20% of your grade. Class work will be 25% of your grade. Responsibility will be 10% of your grade. These percentages may change after the first quarter, but you will be made aware of any change in the grading. Part of responsibility grade is completing and turning in your warm-ups that will be done each day, having your homework completed on time, class behavior, and coming to class prepared (with all the necessary tools). The homework is viewed as a practice time for you to learn and understand concepts that you will be tested on. Just as in basketball, band, or any other skill, you must practice to become better.

• Tests and or quizzes will be given once a week if possible. This will allow me to make sure that everyone understands everything we are doing.

• Homework will be collected on the due date and is worth 4 points per assignment. If the homework is completed, you will receive the 4 points for the day. However, EVERY problem must be completed or at least attempted in order to get that credit. For every assignment turned late, you will receive only 2 points. Any assignment turned in without a name on it will receive no credit until you have found your paper in the "no name" stack, put your name on it and turn it in. At this point you will receive 2 points 

• Responsibility Points (3 per day)

Students must always have the following in order to receive all 3 points. You will not be allowed to leave the room to get these things unless you have one of your two passes left. When they are gone, you don’t leave!

  The grading scale is as follows:

99-100   A+

• Homework assignments from the previous day will be posted in the assignment notebook on the board. Please take advantage of them!

• When you are absent, come to see me before Climb It time before the day starts. Work that was handed back while you were absent will be in the wall file.

• I am available to help with homework each morning at 7:30 am and each night after school at 3:30pm. Please, if you are planning on coming to see me one of these two times, make contact with me. This way I can assure you that I will be there.

• I expect you to be a willing participant in all activities. In order to do this, you must come prepared.
• Be in your seats immediately when you enter the room. You will either be correcting homework, making corrections on homework or have warm-up problems to be doing.
• The bell does NOT dismiss you, I do.
• In order to leave my room, you must have your assignment notebook.
• Do your own work. You will receive a zero on all tests and homework if you get caught. That goes for all involved.
• No food or beverage is to be brought to math class.
• Book bags/backpacks are not allowed in class.
