Mrs. Ring's
Classroom Policies and Procedures
This year the students chose what our classroom expectations would be for this year! They did a fantastic job!
STUDENT EXPECTATIONS:
1. Respect everyone ("Treat others how you'd like to be treated")
2. Show respect for others' property
3. Be prepared for class
4. Follow directions the first time
5. Do your very best
6. Be helpful (without cheating)
7. HAVE FUN!
SUPPLIES:
Students should always remember to bring the "Super Snazzy Six" with them to class each day! The "Super Snazzy Six" is listed below.
1. Language Arts notebook
2. Assignment notebook
3. Language Arts folder
4. Pencil
5. Pen
6. Accelerated Reader book
Bringing all of these materials to class will help students have a super snazzy
day!
GRADING:
Each student's grade is broken down into three categories: responsibility (10%), daily assignments (40%) and tests/quizzes/projects (50%). Students earn a grade for responsibility by turning in work on time, being prepared for class, and coming to class on time.

LATE WORK:
Every sixth grade teacher has a slightly different late work policy. Mrs. Ring's late work policy for her Language Arts class is listed below.
90%
of grade will be earned if work is turned in one week.
50% of grade will be earned if work is
turned in before the end of the quarter (or
before a designated cut-off date).
*Students will also lose responsibility points for not completing work on time.
**Modifications to this policy may be made for students who need extended time due to illness, family situation(s) or a similar emergency situation.
