Promotion to Spanish II as a Freshman

Promotion to Spanish II is dependent upon the following 3 things:

1.      Maintaining a grade of a “C” better throughout the year.

2.      Passing the Spanish II entrance exam in April.

3.      A recommendation from Señora Rogstad.

4.      A recommendation will be based on points 1 and 2 above.  In addition, my decision will be based upon Spanish speaking ability, listening attentively, working well with others, using class time wisely, following the classroom rules and procedures, etc.

This is a high school class.  My expectations of you will be higher this year!  Your admittance into this class was based upon not only your grades as a seventh grader but also your maturity level, and ability to participate in a classroom without disrupting others.

REFOCUS

This is a program used school-wide.  It is from the “Time to Teach” program and will help our classroom run more smoothly.  If at anytime your conduct disrupts the class to the point that I cannot continue to teach (ie you are not following the classroom rules or procedures) you will be asked to REFOCUS.

After 3 REFOCUSES or 2 in one class period I will fill out a discipline referral form that will be sent to the office.
