River Valley High School Art
September
  • This year each student taking art in the River Valley School District contributed to painting a  9 x 12 foot mural of a study of Grant Wood's Stone City.   All Students in the high school art program participated in painting the mural.  Over 500 elementary children contributed drawings of vegetables that created a border and side panels for  the mural.
October
  • The Art and Technology class produced a video documenting the events of "Plow Days", an event hosted by area farmer, Rod Anding, the Area Historical Society and the Spring Green Sesquicentennial committee.  The video recorded the attendance of over 30 teams of horses and vintage trackers plowing and planting acreage outside of Arena.
  • Drawing, Painting and Art Survey students join Sophomore English classes in reflective projects inspired by topics presented by local author James Devito in his book The Silenced.  Art students are looking at trends in contemporary art as well as exploring societal impacts of diversity.
  • The Design class submitted logo ideas for the Lone Rock Historical Society.
