Art Survey

     Art Survey is a course created for the beginning high school art student.  This year long course gives the beginning artist an overview of the media and associated techniques available to River Valley students. 

    The curriculum of Art Survey is structured around the Art Elements and the Principles of Design.  Media and techniques include contour and gesture drawing, fine pencil rendering, diverse  methods of using pen and ink, calligraphy, exploring color theory and painting.
