TESTING.   The WKCE testing took place on October 29 and 30 and November 1 and 2.  Students took the testing seriously and really worked to do their best.  Results will be coming home with the student report card on April 11. Mark your calendars for our fieldtrip on June 6.  We will be going to Platteville to see the Rollo Jameson Museum and the Mining Museum.  If you enjoy antiques and you don't mind being in a damp mine, this is the trip for you.

The Figureheads program will be on Friday, April 4 at 1:00 at the River Valley High School.

 A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MRS.ZAVADA

This is my 36th year of teaching.  WOW! That sounds old.  I am originally from Richland Center, but am a true Blackhawk.   My husband Jerry used to teach in the district, also. I have two grown children that have finished college and are now in the working world.   I love teaching.

Tornado Awareness Week

We will be talking about tornadoes during this week and practicing taking shelter.  On Thursday, April 24 we will follow the statewide drill.

READING SLIPS

Reading slips go home each Monday.  Students should record their reading each evening and return the slips to school on Monday morning.   Feel free to contact me at school 546-2228 or on my e-mail at mzavada@rvschools.org when any questions arise.   I would appreciate having the e-mail address of parents for sending notices about tests or just staying in touch.
