General Information

River Valley School District elementary school students meet with Mr. Ehlinger once each week to explore an exciting, interactive music curriculum.  Instructional activities are linked to Wisconsin Model Academic Standards for Music and encourage creative, enthusiastic, cooperative involvement.

Mr. Ehlinger has taught music since 1991.  His teaching experience includes work in public and private schools and ranges from pre-kindergarten to twelfth grade students.  He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music and a Master's Degree in Arts Administration, both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

First Grade

River Valley first graders meet with Mr. Ehlinger once a week for thirty minutes.  Most first graders met with Mr. Ehlinger during the 1999-2000 school year during the district's inaugural offering of Kindergarten Integrated Arts.

Second Grade

River Valley second graders meet with Mr. Ehlinger once a week for forty-five minutes.  Their music experience includes fifteen minutes in a combined choir with their school's third graders.

Third Grade

River Valley third graders meet with Mr. Ehlinger once a week for forty-five minutes.  Their music experience includes fifteen minutes in a combined choir with their school's second graders.

Fourth Grade

River Valley fourth graders meet with Mr. Ehlinger once a week for forty-five minutes.  Their music experience includes fifteen minutes in a combined choir with their school's fifth graders.

Fifth Grade

River Valley fifth graders meet with Mr. Ehlinger once a week for forty-five minutes.  Their music experience includes fifteen minutes in a combined choir with their school's fourth graders.

Grades 3-5 Multiage Classrooms

Students in each of Lone Rock Elementary School's grade 3-5 multiage classrooms meet with Mr. Ehlinger once a week for forty-five minutes.
