Students will be doing hands-on activities and lab work writing programs that run correctly on a computer.   Students will learn more advanced skills on how to use structured thinking and problem solving techniques to write better programs. Students will do most of their classroom lab work at a computer writing and running programs that they have created.

 

 

Students will learn Pascal and MS-Visual Basic 6.0 programming language.  Students will write programs to solve various programming problems.  Students will learn how to write and develop program outlines and programs on paper.  Students will complete assignments using the internet.

 

 

 

Students will use Educational board games to improve their logic and problem solving skills.

 

 

 

 

Students will learn the following computer principles and skills:

   1.    how to write programs using Pascal and Visual Basic 6.0 software
    2.    how to write program outlines and programs on paper
    3.    how to control programs using loops
    4.    how to control programs using menus and select case
    5.    how to use conditions in a program
    6.    working with graphics to write programs with sound and animation
    7.    using     input - processing - output
    8.    variables
    9.    constants
  10.    randomize timer
