Consumer Auto Class 1 credit 2 semesters 36 weeks
Students will be learning the basic parts of a car. Students will learn about hand tools and machines. Students will learn basic mechanic skills. Students will learn how to detect basic problems with a car and other vehicles. This course will not make you a full-fledged mechanic, but it will teach you how to change a tire, change your oil, and do basic car maintenance.
This class will also teach you how to communicate with auto technicians about your car ills and what the costs may be. Students will experience the jobs done by technicians and explore their careers.
All students have the right to learn, work, and participate in class and lab situations. Students need to be in class, respect one another's rights, work cooperatively, and follow the safety rules for the class and shop.
