Electronics   Class

1 credit        Block Period  2 hrs.

    1 semester           18 weeks

Students will be learning electronic parts and how they work in a circuit.  Students will be doing hands-on activities in the lab working with various electronic kits to wire circuits and see results.

Students will design and build electronic projects.  Students will work with electronic lab kits to put electronic components together to get an output.  Students will learn how to read and wire schematic drawings using the kits.

Students will learn how important electronics technology is in our society today and how basic symbolism is used.   Basic Ohm's Law / math skills are also applied in the class.

Students will learn the following basic principles and skills:

1.     electronic components and parts
2.     circuits  -  series and parallel
3.     conductors
4.     resistors
5.     current
6.     loads such as light and motors, etc.
