A course will be set up with the teacher in
Welding Technology. College credit will be granted for students interested in going
on in the area at S.W.T.C. through the articulation agreement with this school for Tech
Prep.

Students will be doing hands-on activities in
the welding shop. Students will be doing advanced project work in Tig welding and
Mig welding.

In this course students learn to set up and safely operate both Tig, Mig, and arc welding
and oxy-acetylene welding equipment. Students will be working on welding projects.

The students experience the welding of
different metal types, the use of inert gas welding, angle iron welding, square tube
welding, and fusion gas welding. Project work by the student further advances their
welding skills in this course.
