Breakfast/Lunch/Milk Money Information:
Lunch accounts need to be paid in full by the
end of each school year. If you need to know your lunch account balance, please call
Diane Vossekuil at 588-2551. If you have any money left in your account, it will be
carried over to the next year unless you request a refund. If you do not pay your
account in full, lunches will be denied to your children for the 2007-2008 school year.
When you send lunch money to school,
please include your Family Lunch ID number on your check. If you send cash, please
put the money in an envelope with your child's name on it.
Also, state your Family Lunch ID number on the envelope.
Attendance: Regular and punctual attendance
at school is necessary to assure student success. Parents MUST CALL
the school office before 9:00 a.m. if their child will be absent or tardy from
school. A planned absence/tardy (doctor/dentist appointment) can be documented with
a note ahead of time. We will attempt to call parents/guardians or the emergency
contact person if a child is absent and we have not been notified. This may mean
calling you at your workplace. If we don't hear from you that your child will be
absent or late it will be noted in your child's attendance register as unexcused.
ATTENDANCE - TAKE NOTE:
Students arriving to school prior to 10:00 am will be
recorded as tardy. Students arriving to school later than
10:00 am will be recorded as having a 1/2 day absence.
Students arriving after 1:00 pm will be counted as a full day
absence. Students missing up to 2 hours of school throughout
any portion of the school day will be recorded as tardy (i.e.-
arriving late/leaving and coming back/picked up early). |

Please remember to stop by the school office if you are picking up your child during the
day. Mrs. Harrington will contact the teacher to release your child from
class.
Please be sure your children do not bring expensive items
(toys) to school. We would
hate to see their possessions become lost or broken. Thank you!
If your child complains in the morning that he/she doesn't feel well, please take your
child's temperature. School personnel will send your child home if his/her
temperature is 100 degrees or higher. If at all possible, let's avoid passing
unnecessary viruses on to other children.

Monthly Book Club Reminder: When purchasing books through the monthly book clubs,
make checks payable to the specific book club not to Arena Elementary.
This is the preferred method of payment. No cash accepted. If your child is
ordering from two or more books clubs, you will need to write out a check for each
book club. If two or more children in your family bring home book orders, you must
send different checks for each grade.

This is
Wisconsin... Be
sure your child dresses appropriately for outdoor recess. We suggest they have with them the
following items: coat, mittens or gloves, hat, boots and snow pants (when there's snow), and
an extra pair of socks. If at all possible, please have your child bring heavy gloves or mittens
for warmth rather than light weight gloves. Let's
keep our kids dry and healthy. |
