Learning to Speak Spanish

You
can't learn a language by thinking about it. You've got to use it and that
means practice!
Don't
study silently. Quadruple your learning by saying everything OUT LOUD.
Don't try to learn a whole lesson at once. Break
it up into smaller units by taking time to study a little every day. You will
remember more information for a longer period of time.
Don't "tune out" when someone else is
answering in class. Answer the question mentally.
Don't fall behind. Chapter 2 is built on what we
learned in chapter 1.
Learn to apply new grammar and vocabulary. Write
examples in notebook, use Spanish in class and do daily assignments.

Learning to Read Spanish

Don't look up every word you don't know. Use the context
of the sentence and some intelligent guessing.
Learn to read for meaning. It is much faster than
translating from Spanish to English.
Make a list of your own nuissance words and spend extra time on
them.
