A webquest is an interactive cooperative learning activity that is
inquiry oriented to solve a problem and is based on higher order thinking skills with a
do-able, engaging task that uses pre-defined resources from the Web and others
sources. It can be short or long term.
A webquest has three key elements:
1. There is a problem to be solved.
2. Information about the problem is gathered from the web by a group, all of whom
have different roles based on those who would have different vested interests in the
solution.
3. The solution to the problem is reached through negotiation and agreement of all
the parties.
A webquest has 6 parts: Introduction; Task;
Process; Evaluation; Conclusion; Credits
It includes a framework from which students work: resource links; compelling
problem or task; templates for student products; guidance on cognitive and social skills
