CURRENT EVENTS: CREDIT:
1/2 DESCRIPTION: Current Events will help students gain an insight about those events that are happening in the world today. Students will study state, national, and international events as they happen and unfold. Current Events will deal with events from the US involvement in foreign countries, the ongoing events in the "hot spots" of the world, the problems of developing countries to trade agreements, politics, social and environmental issues, etc. Students will be required to pay for a subscription to a class magazine (US News, Newsweek, etc.,). Research via the internet, CD-ROM, and library network materials will be integrated into the class.
