LAW: CREDIT:
1/2 DESCRIPTION: This course teaches the basics of constitutional, criminal, and civil law in American society. In addition, students will be exposed to police science. Activities used are case studies, moot courts, a mock trial, and criminal investigation simulations. Resources for the class will include police, attorneys, judges, and legislators. Students will be able to schedule real life experiences for class credit including police ride-alongs, jail visits, and possibly trips to a courtroom during a trial. This class is integral to students pursuing careers in law enforcement, criminal investigation, and/or forensics, those who aspire to be lawyers or judges, and those who wish to serve the public in a law-making capacity.
