| Pencils--regular
#2 only. Please buy enough to have a supply for all year, as students use them for every class. |
Erasers--Pink
Pearl and/or those that fit on pencils are recommended |
| Pens--black or blue, and red. (Two of each.) | Glue Stick--less
messy than liquid glue. Several sticks will be used throughout the school year. |
| Colored pencils--please purchase instead
of crayons to use for Soc. St. maps |
Highlighters--fluorescent yellow or pink work best |
| Paper--a small amount of wide or college
ruled loose-leaf is required for all classes |
Ruler--6" or 8" with both
centimeters and inches |
| Notebooks--separate wire spiral notebooks are needed for Reading, Language, Social Studies, and Exploratories. |
Calculator--scientific or inexpensive one especially needed for Math and Science. Put student's name on it! |
| Folders--different colors for each class;
match notebooks to folders; for Science, plastic folder with 3 hole center strip (with fasteners) to hold loose-leaf paper |
Kleenex--Two big boxes..
(Take to Climb It teacher the first day of school.) |
| Scissors--small for cutting paper | Black (Fine Line) Marker--used for outlining maps in Social Studies |
| Computer Disk--double-sided, high-density PC compatible disk for bringing work from home to school. These can be purchased from the library for 50 cents and can be used all three years. |
Bag or Pouch--to carry supplies from class to
class. A large, zip-lock freezer bag works great. Plastic boxes are not recommended. |
| Locker Shelf--optional for organizing locker |
School supplies can be purchased throughout the year at the School Store. This store has a wide variety of school supplies at a reasonable price.
Note: Due to severe misuse of white-out by the students, we will not be allowing students to use white-out during the school day. Please do not send correction fluid to school.
