Special Education Services
It is the goal of the River Valley School District to provide full educational opportunity to all children with disabilities in the area served by the school district. Available to all children with disabilities are the variety of educational programs and services available to non-disabled children including: art, music, industrial arts, and vocational education or any program or activity in which non-disabled children participate. The River Valley School District provides nonacademic and extra-curricular services and activities that afford children with disabilities an equal opportunity for participation.
The River Valley School District accepts and processes referrals of children suspected to have a disability. Any person having concerns about a child's development is urged to contact the school principal or special education office and request to have the child screened for possible special educational needs.
