President Anderson opened the meeting. He noted that the meeting had been properly noticed and provided to the appropriate media and each School Board Member. Pitts moved to proceed with the legal meeting. Limmex seconded. Motion carried.
CESA #3 Annual Meeting Report
Nelson attended the annual meeting where it was discussed how costs are determined for CESA programs that are offered to districts.
Set Policy Committee Meeting Date
A Policy Committee meeting was set for Tuesday, September 11, at 7:30 p.m.
Set Budget/Maintenance/Transportation Committee Meeting Date
A Budget/Maintenance/Transportation Committee meeting was set for Thursday, October 11, at 7:00 p.m.
Consent Agenda: Checks, Invoices, Receipts from July 2001
Limmex moved to accept the consent agenda items as submitted. Roske seconded. Motion carried.
Consideration & Action on Adoption of Student, Staff, Athletic, and Coaches
Minor handbook revisions were outlined for the 2001-02 school year. There were no changes to athletic or coaches handbooks. Pronold moved to adopt all handbooks as presented. Caraway seconded. Motion carried.
Consideration & Action on River Valley School District/St. Lukes Hold
Limmex moved to approve the two hold harmless agreements permitting St. Lukes to use the gymnasium at Plain Elementary and permitting the River Valley School District to use playground area at St. Lukes. Roske seconded. Motion carried.
Consideration & Action on Employment of Teachers
Pitts moved to hire Cora Griffin as the half time Athletic Director and half time High School Phy. Ed. Teacher. Caraway seconded. Motion carried.
Consideration & Action on High School Graduation Date Friday, May 24, 2002
Nelson moved to set Friday, May 24, 2002, as the graduation date for the Class of 2002. Caraway seconded. Motion carried.
Consideration & Action to Adjourn to Closed Session Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes
19.85 and 111.70 to discuss 2001-2003 RVEA Collective Bargaining Update
Limmex moved to adjourn to closed session at 8:25 p.m. pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes 19.85 and 111.70 to discuss 2001-2003 RVEA Collective Bargaining Update. Roske seconded. Polled vote was 7-0 in the affirmative with 2 absent. Motion carried.
