President Anderson opened the meeting. He noted that the meeting had been properly noticed and provided to the appropriate media and each School Board Member. Pitts moved to proceed with the legal meeting. Murphy seconded. Motion carried.
Benson noted that the administrative team will be meeting to clarify the goals statements so they more fully explain the specific target of each goal area.
Consent Agenda - Checks, Invoices, Receipts from January 2001; Minutes of Regular
Meeting Open Session, January 11, 2001
Rademaekers moved to approve the consent agenda as submitted. Murphy seconded. Motion carried
Consideration & Action on Budget/Maintenance/Transportation Committee
The Committee recommends the refinancing of two bonds (Spring Green Elementary and Plain) for an estimated savings of approximately $58,000. Murphy moved to refinance the Spring Green Elementary and Plain bonds. Pitts seconded. Motion carried.
The Committee recommends the painting of light poles at the high school using monies from the high school construction project estimated at a cost of $6,900. Limmex moved to proceed with the painting of the light poles at the high school using approximately $6,900 from the high school construction project monies. Pitts seconded. Motion carried.
For safety reasons, the committee recommends the widening of the sidewalk along the bus lane running from the high school to the middle school. Limmex moved to begin the bid process for the widening of the sidewalk along the bus lane from the high school to the middle school. Caraway seconded. Motion carried.
The Committee is continuing to examine the middle school HVAC problems and will likely have a proposal in the next few months.
Consideration & Action on Second Reading of New and Revised Policies
Pitts moved to approve the second reading of Policy #722.3-Rule - Procedure To Be Followed For Emergency Conditions. Caraway seconded. Motion carried.
Consideration & Action on First Reading of New and Revised Policies
No action. The Policy Committee meeting was cancelled. The Committee is scheduled to meet on Monday, February 19 at 7:00 p.m.
Consideration & Action on Establishing Special Meeting
Rademaekers moved to set a special meeting for Tuesday, February 20 at 8:00 p.m. Murphy seconded. Motion carried.
Consideration & Action to Adjourn to Closed Session Pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 19.85 and 111.70 to discuss 2001-2003 RVEA Collective Bargaining and 19.85(1)(c) to discuss administrator contracts
Rademaekers moved to adjourn to closed session at 8:27 p.m. pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 19.85 and 111.70 to discuss 2001-2003 RVEA Collective Bargaining and 19.85(1)(c) to discuss administrator contracts. Limmex seconded. Polled vote was 7-0 in the affirmative with 2 absent. Motion carried.
