Goal Setting

The Board recognizes the importance of goal setting for school improvement.  It believes that this is best accomplished through a multi-year Strategic Plan.  The Strategic Plan should focus on key areas of student achievement and instruction, student engagement, facilities, community communications and engagement, and finance and operations.  The Strategic Plan will be used as one basis for short-term and mid-term decision making by the district.

A successful Strategic Plan must involve the School Board, administration, staff, students, parents and the community.  The Board understands that this is a lengthy process and would establish that the Strategic Plan be updated on a five year basis.
